The Wind Symphony, conducted by Bruce Moss, performs at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts
Center.
THURSDAY
MFA students Anna Welch, poetry, and Paul Morin, fiction, will read from their work at 7:30 p.m. in Prout
Chapel.
The 1999 Canadian film "L’ange Gardien de Mon Pére (My Father’s Angel)" will be shown at 7:30
p.m. at Gish Film Theater.
THURSDAY-SUNDAY
The Department of Theatre and Film will present "The Arabian Nights" by Mary Zimmerman,
directed by associate professor Jonathan Chambers. Performances are Thursday, rid ay and Saturday at 8
p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Eva Marie Saint Theatre of the Wolfe Center for the Arts. Advance
tickets are $9 for students and seniors (ages 55 and older), and $12 for adults, $3 more per ticket on
the day of the performance. Call (419) 372-2719.
FRIDAY & SATURDAY
The Opera Gala will be the first performance in the new Wolfe Center for the Arts’ Donnell Theatre.
Selections from Ludwig van Beethoven’s "Fidelio," Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s "Marriage of
Figaro" and "Magic Flute," and Giuseppe Verdi’s "Rigoletto" will be among those
performed. The concert will showcase the Bowling Green Philharmonia, Men’s and Women’s Choruses,
University Chorale Society, and other groups and faculty soloists. The event begins at 8 p.m. Tickets

Kenneth Thompson and Carol Hayward conduct the University and Concert Bands at a 3 p.m. concert in
Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center.

Praecepta will give a concert at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center. The BGSU
student chapter of the Society of Composers, Inc., Praecepta promotes new-music activities in the
Bowling Green area. Free
FEB. 28
Students from Sean Cooper’s Voice Studio will perform at 7:30 p.m. in Wildwood Metropark in Toledo as
part of the Music at the Manor House series.
The 1979 documentary "80 Blocks from Tiffany’s" at 7:30 p.m. in the Gish Film Theater in Hanna
Hall. Directed by Gery Weis, the film exposes the lives of 1970s gangs such as the Savage Skulls and
Savage Nomads.

The Faculty Scholar Series begins at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall.
AT THE GALLERIES
The Undergraduate Exhibition continues through Feb. 26 in the Dorothy Uber Bryan and Willard Wankelman
galleries in the Fine Arts Center. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, 6-9 p.m.
Thursdays, and 1-4 p.m. Sundays.
