Elmwood High School
Vanessa Wagner has been named the September Student of the Month at Elmwood High School, and Sarah
Laborie earned the honor for the month of October.
Wagner, of Wayne, is the daughter of Nicholas and Cherie Wagner. She has a 4.0 grade point average and is
president of student council as well as her senior class. She also is a member of National Honor Society
and Spanish club, and is treasurer of FFA.
She is a cheerleader and a member of the track team, earning honorable mention SLL this year.
Wagner is involved in her church youth group and also has taken three mission trips with Christ’s Church
in Bowling Green.
She has not decided on a college, but is considering a major in physical therapy.

Laborie, of Bloomdale, is the daughter of Doug and Sandra Laborie. She also has a 4.0 grade point average
and is a member of National Honor Society, student council, Spanish club and FFA.
The senior participates in varsity track and cheerleading, as well as 4-H and her church youth group.
She plans to study radiation therapy but has not yet decided on a college.
