Myerholtz family holds camping reunion near BG

The 11th annual Myron and Mary Myerholtz family reunion and campout was held July 15-17 at the home of
Caroline Asmus on Cross Creek Road, Bowling Green.
There were 98 members present.
Friday’s events included the celebration of twins named Emily and Ethan, born that day to Julia
(Myerholtz) and Todd Snauwaert, swimming, fishing and a hobo dinner were highlights as everyone set up
camp.
On Saturday there was a community breakfast followed by adult and child tournaments of dartboard
baseball, corn hole, Frisbee golf and target shooting with plastic BB guns. Prizes were awarded.
The children’s treasure hunt featured Black Beard the pirate and a mermaid, with the children gathering
food, pets, flowers, beads and coins, and making their own flag.
A 50-50 drawing was held with proceeds going to charity. Sunday concluded with breakfast.
Mary Myerholtz celebrated her 88th birthday this summer.
Family members are Dave and Nancy Myerholtz, Waterville; Janet Collins, Weston; and Caroline A., Ray and
June Myerholtz, Dan and Diane Myerholtz and Art and Judy Myerholtz, all of Bowling Green. Louise and
Larry Noon are deceased.
