Lauren Perfetto, Matt Wickard wed

Lauren F. Perfetto became the bride of Matthew R. Wickard on June 25 at the Shrine of the Most Blessed
Sacrament in Chevy Chase, D.C.
Msgr. John Enzler was celebrant for the 3 p.m. ceremony.
The groom is the son of Dan and Karen Wickard, Bowling Green. The bride is the daughter of Henry and
Patti Perfetto, Olney, Md.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a pearl colored Mikaella gown with narrow straps and a
crossover bodice. It was ruched at the waist with side flower detail and a chapel train. She wore her
mother’s chapel-length veil.
Sisters of the bride Danielle Perfetto and Emily Perfetto, both of Olney, were her maids of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jackie Favarulo, Olney; Colleen McCarthy, Bethesda, Md.; and Betsy Raimo, Brookeville,
Md. The attendants all wore knee-length currant colored dresses of eastern silk shantung.
Ellie Givens, Rockville, Md., was the flower girl. She wore a pearl colored tea-length dress with side
flowers at the waist, similar to the bride’s.
Drew Wickard, Moscow, Idaho, served as best man for his brother.
Groomsmen were Nick Bauman and Damon Bechstein, both of Bowling Green; Andew Otley, Brighton, Mich.; and
Frankie Perfetto of Olney, brother of the bride.
Organist was Stanley Spottswood.
A reception was held at the Columbia Country Club in Chevy Chase, Md., with music furnished by DJ Mark
Wilner of Washington Talent.
The couple spent their honeymoon in St. Lucia and are now at home in Bethesda.
The bride graduated from Our Lady of Good Counsel High School, Olney, in 2003, and the Catholic
University of America, Washington, D.C., in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She is employed
at Children’s National Medical Center in the District of Columbia as an R.N. on the
hematology/oncology/bone marrow transplant unit.
The groom graduated from Bowling Green High School in 2004 and Bowling Green State University in 2008,
with a B.A. in Political Science. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in foreign policy at
American University in Washington, D.C. He is also employed by Scitor Corp., Washington, D.C., and is
serving as a member of the Air Force Reserves.
