Experts discuss tips for marketing food products

Tens of thousands of food products are launched every year, but many do not receive the assistance needed
to successfully enter the market.
Fortunately, experts from DayMark Safety Systems/Century Marketing and Bullfrog BBQ Sauce will educate
and prepare those looking to better understand how image, branding, and the emotional experience will
accelerate the selling process.
The Center for Innovative Food Technology and the Agricultural Incubator Foundation will host a food
marketing workshop, "Make Your Product Jump off the Shelf," Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the
Incubator, north of Bowling Green. The seminar is open to anyone – in particular food-related business
owners, aspiring entrepreneurs, and those who are producing a product to sell at markets and/or other
retail establishments.
The importance of labeling, types of labels available, and strategic design will be emphasized. The
second half of the seminar will focus on the importance of selecting a partner for custom printing
needs. Plus, an experienced graphic designer will be present to work with current art designs (label
and/or logo) and offer expert advice.
The cost is just $25/person or $40/two guests (cash or check at the door, payable to Agricultural
Incubator Foundation) which includes networking opportunities and light refreshments. The incubator is
located at 13737 Middleton Pike ( Ohio Route 582) in Bowling Green.
