TODAY
A showcase of work from the 49th Ann Arbor Film Festival, including filmmakers Barbara Hammer, Bill Brown
and Paul Winkler will be screened from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Gish Film Theater in Hanna Hall.
WEDNESDAY
Ellen Gorsevski, an assistant professor of communication at BGSU, will give a talk called "Chasing
Dangerous Women: The Social Justice Rhetoric of the Women Nobel Peace Laureates" from 2:30 to 3:30
p.m. in 207 Bowen-Thompson Student Union.
John Sampen, saxophone, and Mark Bunce, composer/electronics, will present a program of spiritual music
of Asia and the Americas at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center.
THURSDAY
The 50th anniversary of the release of "L’ann?©e derni?®re ?† Marienbad" (Last Year in
Marienbad) by French director Alain Resnais will be shown at 7:30 p.m. in the Gish Film Theater.
Visiting fiction writer Rae Meadows will read from her work from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Prout Chapel.
FRIDAY
Mezzo-soprano Paula Patterson is the featured guest artist in an 8 p.m. concert in Bryan Recital Hall.

SUNDAY
Closing events for the Focus High School Exhibition featuring student work from northwest Ohio include an
artists’ reception from noon to 1 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Gallery lobby and an awards ceremony from
1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in 115 Olscamp Hall.
"Kiki," a 1926 film by director Clarence Brown starring Norma Talmadge and Ronald Coleman, will
be shown from 3 to 5 p.m. as part of the Sunday Matinees at the Gish series. Film historian Dr. Jan Wahl
will introduce the silent comedy, and Michael Peslikis will provide piano accompaniment,.
The Collage Concert features the Bowling Green Philharmonia, BGSU Wind Symphony, Jazz Lab Band 1 and
Brass Choir. at 3 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of Moore Musical Arts Center. Admission is $5.
SEPT. 19
Toledo Museum of Art Director Brian Kennedy will give a talk titled "Toledo Museum of Art: Temple
and Forum" will speak at 7:30 p.m. in 206 Bowen-Thompson Student Union.
SEPT. 20
"Revenge of the Nerds"will be shown from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Gish Film Theater.
SEPT. 21
Christian Unverzagt, an architect and graphic designer from Ann Arbor, Mich., will give an ARTalk
presentation at 6:30 p.m. in 206 Bowen-Thompson Student Union.
Connor Nelson on the flute will present a Faculty Artists Series recital at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall.
