Rossford 1974 grads to gather
ROSSFORD – Rossford High School Class of 1974 will be having a casual get together on July 16, a
Saturday, from 6 p.m. until midnight. The event will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 658 Lime
City Road.

Ohio bicycling enthusiasts wed amid group event
CLEVELAND (AP) – An Ohio couple who share a love for bicycling have been married amid a crowd of scores
of fellow cyclists and their bikes.
Graphic designer Amy Hawk and artist Bob Peck wed Friday evening at Cleveland’s Public Square before a
monthly group bicycle ride downtown, television stations WEWS and WKYC report.
Peck wore a T-shirt with a tuxedo design, Hawk wore a white dress and both wore sneakers. Cyclists
attending the ceremony rang bicycle bells in celebration as the ceremony ended.
Afterward, the pair hopped on their bikes to join relatives and friends as part of the group ride.
They plan to honeymoon in North Carolina and promised they’d be taking their bicycles along with them.

Always ladies’ night at Qatar’s women-only cinema
DOHA, Qatar (AP) – A Qatar sports center says it plans a women-only cinema that would be the latest
no-men-allowed venture in the Gulf.
The Aspire Zone Foundation says the 154-seat movie theater will open today in a section of the
government-backed sports complex reserved for women’s events.
The announcement Monday is another example of businesses catering to traditional gender segregation in
the Gulf, which attracts millions of workers from around the world.
In Dubai, the state-run taxi company has women-only cabs with female drivers and sets aside some cars in
its metro rail system for women. Saudi Arabia follows strict Islamic customs that keep the sexes from
mingling, but its smaller Gulf neighbors have far more Western-style social rules.
