Young blues band to play autism benefit

MAUMEE – The Homemade Jamz Blues Band will play a benefit concert for the Autism Society of Northwest
Ohio Friday at 8 p.m. the Maumee Indoor Theater, 601 Conant St.
The Homemade Jamz Blues Band features three young performers – Ryan Perry, 19; Kyle
Perry, 16; and Taya Perry, 12. Music legend B.B. King said of the band: "These young kids have got
energy, talent and do the blues proud with their own flavor."
The Homemade Jamz Blues Band is the youngest band to have competed in the International Blues Challenge
in 2007 when they took second place.
Local blues artist Buzz Anderson open the show with a set featuring guest artists. Toledo native Anderson
has been working on the local music scene for years including with his band Frostbite.
Tickets for the concert are $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Limited VIP tickets are
also available for $30 which includes a reception with food. Tickets can be purchased at the theater and
at the Autism Society of Northwest Ohio, 4334 Secor Road, Toledo.
