‘Go’ to the beach for a party with Wood County Park District
A "Kids GO! Beach Party" will be held Saturday at the Bradner Preserve from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The Wood County Park District program is for children and their families. The GO! (Getting Outside)
programs are held the second Saturday of the month. They focus on nature and the outdoors.
Participants will get a chance to discover more about their surroundings, get dirty, and have fun. Come
enjoy a morning on the beach. Discover how the beach got here and who used to live here.
Use the Timmons Road access.

Got game? Come to the library
Middle school students are invited to Teen Game Day Wednesday in the Wood County District Public Library
meeting room.
Sixth through eighth-graders can stop in any time between 3 and 5 p.m. for games. They are also welcome
to bring their own.
The activity is sponsored by the library and BG Teen Central.
Another game day is planned for Oct. 26 at the same time.
‘Yak’ about ‘The Cruisers’
The "Snack and Yak Book Club" for middle school students will be held Oct. 18.
Students in grades six through eight can meet in the middle school library at 2:30 p.m. to discuss
"The Cruisers," by Walter Dean Meyers.

Philbrick Civil War tale is October’s Novel Chit-Chat
This month’s Novel Chit-Chat by the Wood County District Public Library will be on a civil war novel.
Kids ages 9 and older with an adult partner are invited to discuss "The Mostly True Adventures of
Homer P. Figg" on Oct. 24 at 7 p.m.
