Jambard-Sweet and the limit is 14 per class.
The classes are Tuesdays from 10 to 11 a.m. The fee is $5 per child.
For Tuesday’s class, make decorations out of fall trees.
On Oct. 11, make sunflowers before they disappear for the year.
The Oct. 18 theme is "Whooo do you think is flying around out there?" Come find out and make a
flying friend to take home.
Halloween is just around the bend for the Oct. 25 class. Participants will create a yummy haunted house.
• Gem Tree is for third-graders through adult. Learn to twist wire and add stones to make a one-of-a-kind
tree. Parents are welcome to help and learn the basics of this craft.
The leader is Chester King and the class limit is five. There is no fee for this class, which will be
held either Oct. 11 or 13 from 4 to 5 p.m.
• A Painting for Kids Art Class is for children in grades one through eight and will be held Oct. 15 from
1 to 5 p.m. Many of the artist Michael Ives’ paintings hang in children’s rooms and nurseries, therefore
it is only fitting that he teach a children’s art class.
Enjoy a fun journey through one of his creations: "Raining Cats & Dogs in Perrysburg,"
which he created on an iPad. Discuss the different aspects of the piece, see a short movie of the
creation of the painting, then paint a version of it. Bring a snack. Class limit is 12. The fee is $40.
• Youth Pottery will be held on Wednesdays beginning Oct. 26, through Dec. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. The fee is
$75.
Students will focus on developing their creative side in many hand built and wheel projects. The course
will feature extruded work, slab work and development of potter’s wheel skills. They will glaze their
work and get an understanding of how it is fired.
The leaders are Julie Beutler and Nadia Packard. Class limit is 10.
