Owens’ Terrace View Cafe lists fall menu

PERRYSBURG TOWNSHIP – Area residents are invited to explore international cuisine and regional food
discoveries during the fall semester in the community Terrace View Cafe at Owens Community College. The
new menu selections for Oct. 4 – Nov. 29 are being unveiled.
The student-run cafe, located in College Hall Room 148, is open to the public during the academic year.
Area residents may come for lunch Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Seating is limited and
available until 12:15 and take out meals are offered from 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
The cost per lunch is $8.50 and reservations are required.
The Terrace View Cafe opens to guests on Tuesday, with seafood cioppino as the entree. Regional food
discoveries will be the featured selection each Tuesday, while Thursday’s culinary focus is
international influences.
Later dates and entree listings include Oct. 6 (caraway pork served with an apple, bacon potato bake and
braised red cabbage), Oct. 11 (pork tenderloin with a mustard sauce), Oct. 13 (veal skewers served with
fresh asparagus).
Oct. 18 (marinated London broil served with red skin potatoes), Oct. 20 (kangaroo pasties served with
coleslaw), Oct. 25 (Maytag blue cheese stuffed hamburger with hand-cut steak fries or mushroom stuffed
chicken in sour cream almond sauce).
Nov. 1 (green chili chicken enchiladas), Nov. 8 (tilapia encrusted in Macadamia nuts with pineapple mango
sauce), Nov. 10 (barbequed eel served sushi style), Nov. 15 (southern style catfish with remoulade
sauce), Nov. 17 (tapas) and Nov. 29 (braised chicken or chicken, andouille and shrimp jamblaya).
As an alternative, attendees may choose either a lacto-ovo vegetarian entree or a Terrace chicken burger
with the planned side dishes if desired.

Reservations must be made by 3 p.m. on the Tuesday prior to the Tuesday luncheon and 3 p.m. on Thursday
