Jordan Tolles weds Devon Black

PORTAGE – Jordan Tolles became the bride of Devon Black on Sept. 10 at Christ United Methodist Church.

Rev. Gus Christo-Baker conducted the 3:45 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Ron and Audra Tolles, Tuller Road, Bowling Green. The groom is the son of
Cara Black, Bradner, and Mike Black, Gibsonburg.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless white taffeta A-line gown with sweetheart
neckline, lace-up back and pick-up skirt. She chose a pearl and crystal headband with white veil, and
wore the vintage rhinestone necklace worn by her grandmother on her own wedding day.
The bride’s sisters, Jennifer Tolles and Justine Tolles, both of Bowling Green, were the maids of honor.

Bridesmaids were Amanda Horen, Perrysburg, and Stefanie Rich, Galion, both cousins of the bride; Laura
Davies, Risingsun, sister of the groom; Hannah Perez and Ashley Worthen, both of Weston; and Rachel
Asmus and Kristen Altherr, both of Bowling Green.
Shelby Compton of Ottawa, great-niece of the groom, was junior bridesmaid.
All the attendants wore floor-length eggplant colored gowns with empire waistlines.
Flower girls were Natalie Cavanaugh, Custar, and Addison Rich, Galion, both cousins of the bride. They
wore white taffeta gowns made by the bride’s grandmother to match the bridal gown.
The ring bearer was Alex Davies, Ottawa, great-nephew of the groom.
Nathaniel House, Stow, and Brent Hoerig, Fostoria, served as best men.
Groomsmen were Evan Slates, Bowling Green; Jeff Chalfin, Pemberville, cousin of the groom; Zach Feffer,
Grand Rapids; Bryant Foos, Burgoon; Billy Sayre, Amsden; Bill Eisenman, Risingsun; and Justin Harmon,
Bloomdale.
Zach Davies, Weston, cousin of the bride, and Jackson Kennedy, Catawba Island, cousin of the groom, were
ushers.
Musicians for the ceremony were pianist Sharon Chalfin; vocalists Ashley Hoffman, Michael Cavanaugh and
Kristen Altherr; and guitarist-vocalist Eric Edwards.
A reception was held at the Wood County Junior Fair Building in Bowling Green, with music furnished by
Jeff Rice of A&J Sound.
Following a honeymoon trip to Niagara Falls, Canada, the couple will be at home at 13460 Center St.,
Weston.
The bride graduated from Otsego High School in 2008 and The Salon Professional Academy in 2009. She is
employed at Ambrosia Salon and Spa, Bowling Green.
The groom graduated from Lakota High School in 2006, Terra Community College in 2009 and the Ohio State
Highway Patrol Academy in 2011. He is now a patrolman with the Ohio Highway Patrol.
