Eastwood FFA held pulls at Luckey fest

A puller competes at the
2011 Luckey Fall Fest Antique Tractor Pull.

LUCKEY – After a rainy couple of days, the Eastwood FFA was finally able to hold the annual Antique
Tractor Pull at the Luckey Fall Festival.
Originally planned for Friday of the festival, the pull had to be postponed until Sunday Sept. 25, since
the tracks were too wet for the event to take place.
Finally with good weather chapter members began registration at 9 a.m. with the first pull starting
around 11 and the final pull lasting well into the afternoon.
When the last tractor’s engine was shut off, more than 150 hooks onto the sled had taken place.
David Little, adviser of the chapter, stated the event "went well even after it was postponed"
and "was one of the best run in a long time."
Little added, "It was a life saver being able to have the pulls on Sunday. The weather was great and
we had great help all day long."
Organizers appreciated the effort of all the FFA members and the community for the help and support with
the pull. Also appreciated was the patience of the pullers who stood by the postponement and pulled on
Sunday.
