TODAY
Michael Speaks, dean of the College of Architecture at the University of Kentucky, will give a BGSU
ARTalk titled "Design at the Speed of Thought" at 6:30 p.m. in 206 Bowen-Thompson Student
Union.
THURSDAY
Neil Carpathios, a visiting poet, will read his work at 7:30 p.m. in Prout Chapel. He is the author of
three poetry collections and an English professor at Shawnee State University in Ohio.
The 2009 Italian film "Dieci Inverni (Ten Winters)," directed by Valero Mieli, will be shown at
7:30 p.m. in Gish Film Theater. The film traces a couple’s relationship over 10 years and in various
countries following their chance meeting in Venice, where they first fell in love.
FRIDAY & SUNDAY
The Bowling Green Opera Theater and Department of Theatre and Film presents Mozart’s "The Marriage
of Figaro" Friday at 8 p.m.and Sunday at 3 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center.
Advance tickets are $12 for adults and $9 for students, or $15 and $12 the day of the performance. For

forum precedes the performance, at 7:15 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall.

Seattle glass artist Ethan Stern will present his recent work in a BGSU ARTalk at 7:30 p.m. in 1101 Fine
Arts Center.
NOV. 8
The 1984 film "Repo Man," directed by Alex Cox will be shown at 7:30 p.m. in the Gish Film
Theater. Emilio Estevez and Harry Dean Stanton star in the cult film about a young Los Angeles man who
finds thrills working in the strange world of repossession after his parents donate all their money to a
televangelist. He pursues the chance for glory and a reward if he can find a stolen car with aliens in
the trunk.
AT THE GALLERIES
"Millennium Sculpture: Concept, Craft, Tradition and Trends in American Sculpture" continues
through Nov. 19 in the Dorothy Uber Bryan Gallery in the School of Art.
The University of Wisconsin at Stout Faculty Exhibition continues through Nov. 13 in the Willard
Wankleman Gallery. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, 6-9 p.m. Thursdays and 1-4 p.m.
Sundays.
