The 76th annual George Baumberger Reunion was held Sept. 4 at the home of Dan and Jan Wilson. Bob Nutter
gave the dinner prayer and relatives and friends enjoyed a potluck dinner that included lots of chicken.
Vice President Dan Wilson held a short business meeting. The group decided to keep the same officers:
Mary Ann Crawford, president; Wilson, vice president; and Dot Nutter, secretary-treasurer.
Two weddings were reported this year. Eric Nutter, son of Dave and Laurie Nutter, wed Erin Gerard from
Mentor on July 23; and Greta Finch, daughter of Tod and Lora Finch, married Jeff Robinson from
Chillicothe on Jan. 26.
Deaths reported were Dick Spoering from Deshler, March 26, and Bob Sautter of Grelton, on Dec. 5.
Jim and David Nutter drove the greatest distance, from Lebanon, Tenn.
The group played Bingo with white elephant gifts for prizes.
A group picture was taken under the Baumberger banner.
A birthday party was then held for Bob Nutter who was celebrating his 80th birthday. His daughter Cathy
Horger and her husband Dave had a birthday table set up with the cupcake holders for cake and balloons
and Jan Wilson had a white decorated cake with both Bob and her mom’s names on it since her mom’s
birthday was the next day. Cake and ice cream were served.
Guests were Tyler Pahl, Thomas Yocum, Walt and Kathy Nutter, Lois and Don Bright and Rev. and Mrs. Dan
Sonnenberg and son Steve.
Dave Horger and Lois Wilson were rained out playing corn hole.
The family will meet again next year at the Wilson home.
