Women’s Entrepreneurial Network to offer workshops on getting started in business

TOLEDO – The Women’s Entrepreneurial Network (WEN) is sponsoring a two-part workshop on "Getting
Started in Business" Oct. 12 and 19 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Davis College, Heritage Hall, 4747
Monroe St.
Find out if small business ownership is for you. Speakers will discuss business plan writing, marketing a
new business, keeping financial records, getting financing, and how the Small Business Administration
can help you start a business. Experts will take questions.
"Many people who are out of work are looking to start their own business. These seminars will give
them the tools that they need before they jump into business ownership," ‘notes Dr. Linda Bowyer,
director of the WEN Training Center and a featured speaker.
Other speakers are Linda Fayerweather, Changing Lanes; Jim Duffy, U.S. Small Business Administration;
Linda Everhardt-Kardux, Business Navigators; Rebecca Booth, Imagine That; and Beth Miller, Huntington
Bank.
The workshop is free for WEN members and $25 for non-members. Pre-registration is required and on the WEN
