ROSSFORD – The Rossford School District will hold this year’s Award of Distinction ceremony on Saturday
at 1 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
This year’s honoree, Craig A. LaHote, will be recognized at the ceremony for his significant
contributions to society. A reception of light refreshments and conversation will follow in the
cafeteria.
LaHote graduated from Rossford High School in 1977 and is a lifelong resident of Perrysburg Township. He
received a bachelor of science degree in business administration and an MBA in marketing and finance
from Heidelberg University. LaHote’s public service background ranges from Perrysburg Township trustee,
Advisory Board, Wood County American Red Cross, Perrysburg Rotary Club, and the Ohio Township
Association.
His professional contributions include Ohio Township Association Leadership Association Academy,
Perrysburg Citizens Policy Academy, Wood County Sheriff’s Citizens Police Academy, Heidelberg MBA
Advisory Council, and Owens Community College Computer Science Advisory Committee. In addition, he has
been in involved with the Tau Pi Phi business academic honor society, Alpha Sigma Lambda national honor
society, and Mensa International.
LaHote and his wife, Nancy, have been married for 27 years and have three children: Lindsay, Alex and
Jessica.
According to Nancy LaHote, "Craig truly is an outstanding Rossford High School alumnus. Despite his
many undertakings, he always makes time for his family."
There will also be special recognition of LaHote at Jackson-Ferguson Stadium during the Friday homecoming
football game.
The game begins at 7 p.m. and the award recipient will be acknowledged during half time.
