Celebrity party to benefit actor’s trip to The Event

Justin Brown

A Hollywood Celebrity Party featuring Matthew Underwood, who played Logan on "Zoey 101" will be
held Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. in the Woodland Mall to assist local teen Justin Brown’s own dream of
someday being a celebrity.
Brown is heading to Disneyworld in Florida in December to take part in The Event, where he will compete
with other young entertainers in front of a host of agents and industry professionals.
Tickets are $5 in advance at Grounds for Thought in downtown Bowling Green and $7 a the door. The party
will help defray the costs of attending the weeklong event.
The party was the idea of New York producer and remixer Dru West. It was West who heard Brown audition
for The Event in Cleveland.
Brown said he was impressed enough with Brown’s performance to want to give him a lift.
At Saturday’s party West will serve a DJ. Underwood will host the party and be available for photographs
and autographs.
The guest of honor will also perform, including singing with his two younger brothers Logan and Ethan.

Logan started acting with a part in a play at Kenwood Elementary, and then joined the Horizon Youth
Theatre. He’s been a regular with the youth troupe, and also has had roles in several musicals staged by
the Black Swamp Players and played the young Abel in the Bowling Green State University production of
"Children of Eden" and appeared twice in "A Christmas Carol," first as Tiny Tim and
then Peter Cratchit.
The 16-year-old is now involved in drama at Bowing Green High School
While he’d love to have a career in acting, he understands that’s a long shoot, so he’s also considering
pursuing a career in medicine.
In part those future plans hinge on what transpires at The Event, Brown said. "I’ll definitely take
acting if it looks good to me."
