GRAND RAPIDS – Megan L. Richardson and Bryan J. Simon exchanged wedding vows on July 2 at Nazareth Hall.
Pastor Paul Bennett of Sycamore United Methodist Church performed the ceremony, located at Nazareth
Hall’s outdoor grotto.
The bride is the daughter of Randy and Karen Richardson of Powell. The groom is the son of James and Tina
Simon, Bowling Green.
The bride wore a mermaid-style ivory bridal gown with lace overlay, strapless neckline, and lace bodice
with a jewel encrusted applique at the empire waist. The skirt had sea shell detailing and a scalloped
hemline. She chose a single-layer ivory chapel length, cut-edge veil with a pearl and rhinestone
hairpiece. The bride carried Calla lilies accented with pearls.
The bride’s sister-in-law, Taylor Richardson of Dublin, Ohio, was the matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were cousin of bride Kirsten Veith, Westerville; Alyssa Ulery, Enon; Kelsey Cooper,
Springfield; Samantha Jordan, Rockford, Mich.; and Sarah Reinink, Holland, Mich.
The bridesmaids wore form fitting ruched dresses of glacier taffeta, with ivory bands accenting the
waist.
The flower girl was Mia Buff, Bowling Green.
The groom’s brother, Blake Simon, Bowling Green, served as best man.
Groomsmen were Matt Fortney and Jeremiah Kollar, both of Bowling Green; the bride’s brother, Brad
Richardson, Dublin; Paul Shoemaker, Rockford; and Marty Baird, Findlay,
Dusty Hawk, Tipp City, and Chris Gacom, Sagamore Hills, were ushers.
Music for the ceremony was performed by the Strings Of Choice of Toledo.
A reception was held in the Cadet West Ballroom at Nazareth Hall, with music furnished by Decorative
Sound of Maumee.
The couple honeymooned at Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and will reside in Findlay.
The bride graduated from Springfield Shawnee High School and from Bowling Green State University with a
B.S. in Education/English Language. She is employed as an English teacher and swim coach at Central
Catholic High School in Toledo.
The groom graduated from Bowling Green High School and from BGSU with a Bachelor of Science in Sports
Management. He is employed by Marathon Petroleum Oil Co., Findlay, as a pipeline analyst.
