Walleye have big weekend

TOLEDO – The Toledo Walleye won for the fifth straight time, beating Cincinnati, 4-2 in ECHL play Sunday.
Toledo is 18-18-2-1 overall.
Jason Lepine scored two goals for Toledo, Tyler Doig added a goal and an assist while Randy Rowe and Zack
Torquato each had three assists.
Goalkeeper Jimmy Spratt, a former Bowling Green Falcon, got the start and made 36 saves.
On Saturday, Toledo rallied for an 8-7 win over Elmira. Elmira led 5-0 at one point in the game. The
Walleye scored the final five goals of the game.
Rowe scored two goals and added one assist for Toledo; Dominic Osman scored twice, including the eventual
game-winner; Doig had a goal and two assists; and Simon Denis-Pepin had three assists.
Spratt came on to replace starter Joe Palmer and he saved 22 of 25 Elmira shots and picked up his first
win of the season.
