BGHS boys sectional tickets
Bowling Green High School is selling tickets for the Bobcats’ March 4 sectional tournament game at
Liberty-Benton.
Pre-sale tickets are available at the BGHS main office during school hours all next week. Adult tickets
are $6, student tickets are $4. All tickets at the gate are $6.
Otsego boys sectional tickets
TONTOGANY — Tickets for the Otsego-Lake boys sectional basketball game at Toledo Whitmer will be
available for purchase in the high school office Monday and Tuesday from noon-4 p.m.
Price is $4 for students and $6 for adults. All tickets are $6 at the gate.
Falcon baseball rained out
MURRAY, Ky. — Friday’s Bowling Green Falcon baseball game at Murray State was postponed because of rain.

The game will be made up today as part of a doubleheader.
Falcon softball earns first win
WOODSTOCK, Ga. — Bowling Green’s softball team earned its first victory of the season Friday night,
beating Georgia State, 3-2 in the Phyllis Rafter Memorial at Kennesaw State University. BG is 1-6
overall.
The Falcons lost 3-2 loss to Mississippi State in the afternoon.
Against Georgia State, Rachel Proehl, Erika Stratton and Mossy Bowman each had two hits and Hannah Fulk
hit a solo home run for the Falcons. Stratton hit a triple and had two RBI. Zada Lines got the win,
allowing three hits in the final three innings of the game while striking out seven.
Against MSU, Paige Berger and Proehl each had two hits for BG, and Berger also had two runs batted in.

Falcons seventh at MAC swimming
ATHENS — Bowling Green is seventh in the Mid-American Conference swimming championships after Friday
action.
Ohio leads the eight-team meet with 4431?2 points. The Falcons have scored 2051?2 points.
BG’s top efforts Friday were a pair of fourth-place finishes.
Alexis Kain was fourth in the 100 breast stroke in 1:02.27.
BG’s 400 medley realy team of Alexa Harris, Kain, Sarah Burstom and Emily Bennet was fourth in 3:44.74.

On Thursday the Falcons; 200 freestyle relay team of Brittany Szekely, Carrie Enright, Bennet and Sarah
Reinink, set a school record of 1:32.37 in finishing second. That mark beat the previous record of
1:32.72, set two years ago at the 2009 MAC championships. Enright and Reinink swam on that team, as
well.
The time bettered the NCAA’s “B” standard of 1:32.76 for championship qualifying.
BG women third at MAC indoor meet
Bowling Green’s women are third after six events at the Mid-American Conference women’s indoor track and
field championships. The meet is being held at BG’s Perry Field House.
Kent State leads with 34 points, while BG has scored 28.
BG’s Jessie Rowland won the weight throw with a 63-93?4 effort and teammate Brittany McNeal was second in
the long jump at 19-4.
Barbara Powers, a Bowling Green High School graduate, was a member of BG’s fourth-place distance medley
team.
Falcon men’s basketball radio update
Today’s men’s basketball game between Bowling Green and Miami will air on the Falcon Radio Network’s
affiliates as well as on the web at BGSUFalcons.com.
Due to transformer issues, flagship station WFRO 99.1 FM will not carry the broadcast but sister station
WOHF 92.1 will broadcast the game. It can also be found on WLQR 106.5 FM and 1470 AM (the AM side will
join in progress at 11 a.m. but will not carry the pregame show) in Toledo, as well as WONW 1280 AM in
Defiance.
