Clarence Conine Jr.

Clarence Dalton Conine, Jr., 79, of North Baltimore, died at 5:20 p.m. Monday, January 17, 2011, at
Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
He was born on June 18, 1931, in North Baltimore to the late Clarence D., Sr. and Ivalu (Withrow) Conine.
He married Alice Ruth (McLaughlin) Conine on February 18, 1951, and she survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Amy (Tim) Heaton of Reynoldsburg, OH; a sister, Frances (Kenneth) Deem of
Lady Lake, FL; a sister-in-law, Alice Conine of North Baltimore; grandchildren: Kevin (Emily) Gonyer of
Carrolton, OH and Megan Gonyer-Amburgey of North Baltimore; great-grandchildren: Andros, Keegan and
Olyvia.
He was preceded in death by his sons: Kevin Lee Conine and Greg Allen Conine; his siblings: Doris (Harry)
Moser, Norman (Vivian) Conine, Thelma (John) Mayer, Velma (Charles) Steck, Wallace Conine, Mary Gail
(LeRoy) Eding and Dean (Shirley) Conine.
Clarence was a U.S. Army veteran having served our country during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Local #3, St. James United
Methodist Church, where he was an active member and Chairman of Trustees for many years, North Baltimore
American Legion Post 539 and was a former Henry Township Trustee. He was a 1949 graduate of North
Baltimore High School, where he was an outstanding athlete in Football and Basketball.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 24, 2011, at St. James United Methodist
Church, North Baltimore, with Reverend Rick Adams officiating. Burial will be in New Maplewood Cemetery,
North Baltimore, where full military rites will be conducted by the North Baltimore American Legion Post
539. Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8
p.m. Sunday at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore.
