Eastwood bowlers earn conference honors (03-08-11)

Eastwood bowlers represented themselves well during the Sandusky Bay Area Bowling Conference this season.
That fact is shown by its representation in the all-conference teams.
For the boys, John Przybylski and Tommy Blanchard were selected to the first team. The conference teams
are selected by season average. Przybylski averaged 207.6 and Blanchard averaged 206.7. Eastwood’s Derek
Rucki was selected to the second-team with his 192 average.
For the girls both Brandi Roller at 182.7, and Jessica Young, 172.4, were chosen for the first-team.
Mikayla Young had the high average in the conference by 16 pins at 198.7. However, she missed the
minimum number of conference games required by two games to be eligible for any conference awards.
Eastwood’s Harley Vaught was named to the second team at 163.8.
It was a fine season for the Eagles as the varsity boys at 14-1,earned both its division and overall
league championship. Additional team members were Kyle Waynick, Jared Haas and Keith Brandt. The team
also won the Port Clinton Invitational tournament.
The girls, similarly won both the division and overall conference championship with a perfect 14-0
record. Additional team members were Hannah Cook and Emily Elston.
The junior varsity boys team won its division and were runners-up with a 13-2 record. Team members were
Zach Cross, Johonnes Nell, Justin Russell, Jared Melcher and John Fredericks.
The JV girls were overall champions at 5-0. Team members were Lyndsay Tennison, Diana Drgnova, Sarah
Knott, Libby Snyder and Cynthia Gallo.
For the season, Roller also recorded the high game of 258 and 2-game series of 479.
