Louisa Boulis

Louisa Elizabeth Boulis, 82, of Bowling Green, died Monday, February 21, 2011, at Bridge Hospice of
Bowling Green.
She was born August 6, 1928 to Herbert W. and Bertha M. (Vollmar) Stone at the family home on Rt. 582
near Vollmar’s Park and Haskins, OH. She married Donald B. Boulis on June 17, 1949 at the Otsego Park
shelterhouse. He preceded her in death in 1978.
She was employed at the Wood County Courthouse Recorder’s Office as a title clerk prior to the birth of
two daughters. Louisa was later employed again as a title clerk and finally as a custodial worker at
Bowling Green State University, retiring in 1989.
Surviving are daughters: Candace (Larry) Ducat of Bowling Green and Dawn (Mark) Head of Maumee, OH;
grandsons: Garrick (Kristy) Ducat of Dublin, OH, Kelby Ducat of Gahanna, OH, and Jeremy Head and Bryant
Head of Maumee, OH; and great-grandson Grady Ducat and great-granddaughter Kamdyn Ducat of Dublin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Eulalie Mae Stone, brother Delvin Stone, and
granddaughter Robyn Head.
Louisa was a life-time member and past president of the Lybarger-Grimm Auxiliary, Unit #441 of Tontogany,
OH. She enjoyed reading, country music, feeding the birds, traveling with a close friend, visiting with
friends at Cedar Park, and collecting cardinal and snowman figures.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Louisa’s honor to Lybarger Grimm Unit #441,
Tontogany, OH; Bowling Green Manor, 1021 W. Poe Rd., Bowling Green, OH 43402; or the Sunshine Children’s
Home, 7223 Maumee-Western Road, Maumee, OH 43537.
Louisa’s family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the nurses and staff at Bowling
Green Manor for their loving care for the past three years. The family would also like to thank the
dedicated nurses at Bridge Hospice for their care of Louisa during her final days.
Friends and family may call Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Peinert Funeral Home, Tontogany, OH, from 10
a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Pastor David Boswell will officiate. Interment will follow at
Tontogany Cemetery.
