Walleye split with Kalamazoo (02-21-11)

The Toledo Walleye split two games with Kalamazoo over the weekend, winning at home on Saturday, 2-1, in
a shootout; and losing on the road Sunday, 5-2. Toledo is 24-23-3-1 in the East Coast Hockey League.
On Sunday, the Wings scored four times in the first period en route to the win. Christopher DiDomenico
and Sebastien Piche scored for Toledo, while Joe Palmer stopped 36-of-41 shots.
On Saturday, Mike Heden scored Toledo’s only regulation goal and Jason Lepine and Willie Coetzee each
scored in the shootout. Former BGSU Falcon Jimmy Spratt stopped 27-of-28 shots and four-of-five shots in
the shootout.
