Sharon L. Kirkman, 70, of Bowling Green, died Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Bridge Hospice Care Center
in Bowling Green.
She was born July 13, 1940, in St. Joseph, Michigan, to Walter and Josephine (Morton) Simmons. She
married Howard Kirkman on August 12, 1961, in Blissfield, Michigan, and he preceded her in death on May
1, 2009.
Mrs. Kirkman loved to read books, watch old movies, listen to country music and spend as much time as
possible with her grandchildren. She and her husband spent the first 14 years of their marriage moving
between Michigan, California, Florida, and Kentucky before settling in Bowling Green, Ohio, in 1975.
Surviving are two daughters, Deborah (Randy) Rusch, and Connie (Steve) Graber; four grandchildren, Ryan,
Nathan and Justin Rusch and Christina (Ben) Spence; and one great-grandson, Kellen Spence; two sisters,
Carol (Ron) Crist of
Blissfield, Michigan, Linda McBeth of Blissfield, Michigan, Donald (Connie) Landis of Waterford,
Michigan, and Robert (Betty) Landis of Petersburg, Michigan.
A private graveside service will be held Friday at Plain Township Cemetery, Bowling Green.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bridge Hospice Care Center, 1069 Klotz Road, Bowling Green.
