Lillian M. Swartz

Lillian Margaret Swartz, age 77, of Holland, Ohio died Monday, January 24, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest
Ohio following a long battle with the disease, Scleroderma.
She was born in Queens, New York on February 18, 1933 to Michael and Lillian M. (Montello) Marcello.
Lillian was employed as a Scale Master with BelleVue Trucking. She was well known for her incredible
cooking skills and her beautiful floral gardens.
She loved hosting neighborhood parties and barbeques. Anyone who knew Lil was impressed by her strong
will and vibrant smile. To a select few, she was known as "Luckey Lil", because she loved to
gamble and play bingo. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving children, Joann M. Lipinski, Donald L. (Colette Smith) Rasmussen, Michael
A. (Linda Wheating) Rasmussen, Robin A. (Ron) Landrus, Tammy M. (Chris) Gavin, Sandra J. (Kirk) Moore
and Robert J. "B.J." (Amy) Swartz, Jr; 19 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren as well as her
longtime partner of 38 years, Jim DeVault.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Lillian Marcello; son, Mark Rasmussen as well
as her brother, Michael Marcello, Jr.
Honoring Lillian’s wishes, her body was donated to the University of Toledo Medical Center.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Neville Funeral Home,
Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway in Holland (419-865-8879) where her family will receive friends
after 10 a.m.
