Lake wrestlers seventh in tourney
Lake’s wrestling team finished seventh out of 15 teams at the Woodmore Invitational on Saturday.
The Flyers finished with 116 points. Northwood was 10th with 78.5 points, and North Baltimore was 14th
with 54.5 points to round out Wood County’s results.
Swanton won the event with 218.5 points.
Top finishers for Lake were: Zach Meek, third, 125; Damon Keister, fourth, 112; Wes Socie, fourth, 160;
Zach Sharpe, fourth, 171; Jacob Sharpe, fifth, 135; Christopher Salaz, fifth, 140; Casey Conine, sixth,
130;
Top finishers for Northwood were: Brandon Kretz, second, 119; Tyler Mack, third, 140; Daniel Prothero,
third, 160; Anthony Prothero, sixth, 152;
North Baltimore’s Dalton Ishmael took first at 189. NB’s Morgan Findley was fifth at 285.
BOYS SWIMMING
Eastwood ninth
At the Oak Harbor Invitational, Eastwood was ninth out of 10 teams with 22 points.
Lima Shawnee won with 433 points and Toledo St. John’s was second at 394.
Nathan Decker had the Eagles’ best finish, taking fourth in the 100-breaststroke in a time of 1:07.1.

Eastwood ninth
At the Oak Harbor Invitational, Eastwood finished ninth out of 10 teams with five points. Sandusky
Perkins won the event with 386 points and Notre Dame Academy was second with 336 points.
The Eagles did not have any placers in the top six of an event.

Elmwood took sixth in the 18-team Spencerville Invitational with 191 points. Top finishers for the Royals
were: Brandon Pennington, second, 92 pounds; Dylan Hall, third, 104; Dylan Benschoter, fourth, 122; and
Noah Smith, fourth, 150.
