Florence M. Duncan, 85, of Grand Rapids, OH, died January 8, 2011 at Heritage Corner in Bowling Green,
OH.
She was born April 14, 1925 in Washington Township to Carl and Elsie (Dyke) Dauterman.
Florence graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1943.
Florence was a mother and a farmer’s wife. She loved getting out and driving tractor and hauling grain to
the elevator.
She
was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and Union Grange and also the Grange
Community Club, where she held all offices. She was baptized at the
Church of Christ in Weston, OH.
She
married Leonard Leon Duncan May 22, 1945. He preceded her in death on
January 26, 1998. Florence is survived by sons, James (Judy) of Weston,
OH and David (Carmen) of Grand Rapids, OH, grandchildren, Melissa
Hansen, Heidi Gudakunst, David Duncan Jr., Nichole Stewart, Staci
Ludwig, Robert Duncan, Chris Harless, Josh Harless, Angie Prowant and
Matt Harris, and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by
her parents, husband Leonard, son Dale and grandson Shad. Friends and
family will be received Wednesday, January 12 , 2011 from 3 to 8 p.m. at
Peinert Funeral Home, Tontogany, OH. Funeral services will be Thursday
at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Tom Smith officiating.
Interment will follow at Weston Cemetery.
