Robert T. Jones, 74, of Tiffin, died at 3:59 p.m., Sunday, February 13, 2011 at St. Vincent’s Mercy
Medical Center in Toledo.
Robert was born August 17, 1936, in Fostoria, to the late Robert T. Sr. and Illantha (Zeis) Jones. He
married Anne (Risley) in Columbus, on September 5, 1959, and she survives in Tiffin.
Survivors include his children, Greg Sherman Jones of Sylvania, Andrew Lee (Kimberly) Jones of Bloomdale,
and Sarah Ellen (Brett) Johnson of Rossford, grandchildren, Ariel, Gabe, Amanda, Brett Jones, Meghan,
Keegan, Braedan Johnson, and a sister, Sandra Marlene Brewer of Ashland.
Robert worked for the Federal Land Bank of St. Paul from 1962 to 1966 when he moved back to Seneca County
and began farming.
He was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church, the Old Fort Lions Club, board member of the
Countryspring Farmers Co-Op, Past President of the Seneca County Farm Bureau, Past member of the Old
Fort School Board, a life member of the NRA and the OSU Alumni Association.
Robert was a 1954 graduate of Old Fort High School and the Ohio State University with a B.S. in
Agriculture in 1962.
Robert was a United States Army Veteran serving from 1955 to 1957.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter-in-law, Andrea Jones.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Shiloh United Methodist
Church, with Rev. James Mussman officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at
the Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory in Tiffin.
Burial will follow the services on Thursday at Shiloh Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shiloh United Methodist Church, Diabetes Youth Services in
Maumee or to F.A.C.T.
