Andrew Z’s case continued
The man most commonly called Andrew Z on Friday morning had his criminal case continued until next Friday
at 2:30 p.m.
Andrew Zepeda, 41, of Perrysburg, faces charges of theft, failure to collect and remit sales tax returns
and complicity to breaking and entering. The charges stem from incidents related to his former business,
Andrew Z’s Sportz Pizzeria, which operated at Levis Commons in Perrysburg.
The original hearing for his motion for intervention in lieu of conviction was scheduled for this morning
in the courtroom of Judge Alan Mayberry.
Zepeda and his attorney were both in court, however, after a meeting with the judge the matter was
continued without going on the record.
Alleged drunk driver sends one to hospital
PERRYSBURG – One man was taken to a Maumee hospital Sunday following an alleged drunk driving accident at
Ohio 65 and U.S. 20.
According to Perrysburg Police, at 6:59 p.m. a 2006 Dodge Caravan driven by John Yeager, Maumee, was
stopped on Route 65 at a red light at the intersection when a 2010 Mazda 3 driven by Eric Conn, Toledo,
did not stop and struck the rear of Yeager’s vehicle.
Yeager reported possible injuries and was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital by Perrysburg EMS.
Conn was arrested for operating a vehicle while under the influence and also cited for assured clear
distance ahead.
