Elmwood girls post sectional win (2-23-11)

Elmwood was a 53-47 winner over Lakota and Eastwood was a 52-37 loser to Fostoria in the Division III
girls sectional tournament Tuesday at Bowling Green High School.
In a Division IV sectional game at Findlay High School, McComb beat North Baltimore, 69-55.
The Rossford-Northwood game in the Division III sectional at Toledo Bowsher was postponed and rescheduled
for tonight.
In boys regular season non-league games, it was: Perrysburg 73, Waite 59; and Lake 85, Fostoria St.
Wendelin 65.
Two boys games were postponed — Gibsonburg at Otsego, which was rescheduled for Thursday; and Elmwood at
Lakota, with no makeup date announced.

DIVISION III
At BGHS
Elmwood 53, Lakota 47
Brittany Gross scored 20 points and Sierra Beckford had 17 as Elmwood rallied from a 38-32 deficit after
three quarters.
Elmwood, 5-16 overall, plays second-seeded Otsego (8-12) for the sectional title Saturday night at 8.

Fostoria 52, Eastwood 37
Veronia Wonderly’s 38 points led Fostoria, which pulled away during the second half after leading 21-17
at the break.

DIVISION IV
At Findlay High School
McComb 69, North Baltimore 55
In Findlay, Shelby Wilson scored 21 points, Emily Clymer added 16 points and nine rebounds, and Jackie
Leppelmeier had 11 points as McComb improved to 12-9.
McComb built a 38-27 lead at the half and held off NB (13-8).
Rachel Flores led NB with 16 points, while Ricci Emahiser added 12 points and eight rebounds.
BOYS REGULAR SEASON
Lake 85, Fostoria St. Wendelin 65
In Fostoria, Ra’Shad Smith scored 22 points as Lake overcame a 36-34 halftime deficit.
Dylan Hirzel added 16 points for Lake (11-8) and Josh Tantari had 10.
Alex Shontz had 24 points for St. Wendelin (5-13), while Duncan Campbell added 13 points and Elli Hipsher
had 12 points and 12 points.
