Barbara Ann Brossia

Barbara Ann Brossia, 60, of Findlay, died at 9:45 p.m., Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Bridge Home
Health and Hospice, Findlay.
She was born on April 22, 1950, in Findlay to the late Howard H. and Helen (Fiscus) West. She married
Stephen H. Brossia on June 26, 1971, after having met at Devil’s Lake in Michigan in 1966, and he
survives.
Also surviving are a son, Stephen W. (Candace) Brossia of Saginaw, MI; a daughter, Libby Brossia of
Findlay; a brother, David (Patricia) West of Seattle, WA; her beloved grandchildren: Adam, Rachel and
Hannah Brossia and Timothy Whitehead; and her Labradors: Raisin, Tater and Cooper.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Horan.
Ann was the Development Officer for the Findlay Hancock County Community Foundation.
Ann was a 1968 graduate of Findlay High School, and was the 2009 Alumni of the Year. She was also a
graduate of Capital University in 1972 and the University of Findlay in 1996.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011, at First Lutheran Evangelical
Church, Findlay, with Reverends Bob Cochran Sr. and Mark Brodbeck officiating. Burial will be in Maple
Grove Cemetery, Findlay.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Canine Companions in Delaware, OH; Hancock
County Community Foundation; University of Findlay; First Lutheran Evangelical Church; and/or Bridge
Home Health and Hospice, in her memory.
