Browns, NFL donate $20,000 to Lake athletics

MILLBURY – The Cleveland Browns and the NFL have donated $20,000 to the Lake school district for the
reconstruction of its athtletic football facilities which were destroyed by an EF4 tornado June 5, 2010.

A check presentation ceremony will be conducted Thursday during halftime of the Lake’s boys varsity
basketball game against Elmwood.
The game will be played at the Student Health & Activities Center at Owens Community College. The
game will start at approximately 7:30 p.m.
In addition to the $20,000, the Browns also donated tickets for the Lake football team to attend a
preseason game this season and the team was brought onto the field for a pre-game ceremony.
The team also met some of the Browns’ players before the game.
The Browns’ players also donated money to Lake for equipment.
