Prep Roundup: Eastwood’s Decker finishes 13th in prelims (02-25-11)

Eastwood junior Nathan Decker finished 13th in the Division II 500 freestyle preliminaries Thursday at
the state swim meet in Canton.
He was timed in 4:51.99 and advances to today’s consolation finals in the event.
Also, Decker finished 22nd in the 100 butterfly preliminaries in 54.97.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Gibsonburg 64, Otsego 52
In Tontogany, Gibsonburg’s Nate Yarborough scored 25 points to lead the Golden Bears to a Suburban Lakes
League victory.
Gage Baeber had 14 points and Logan Jones added 10 for Gibsonburg, ] 9-10 overall and 6-5 in the SLL.
A.C. Limes led Otsego (6-13, 4-7) with 19 points. Tommy Rodgers had 12 points and Drake Johnson chipped
in with 10 points
Archbold 60, Eastwood 44
In Luckey, Archbold, ranked fourth in Division III, jumped ahead 19-5 after the first quarter and went on
to win the non-league game.
Luke Kammeyer led four Archbold players in double figures with 16 points. The Blue Streaks finish the
regular season at 19-1 overall.
Justin Faykosh led Eastwood with 14 points and Jake Faykosh added 10. The Eagles are 7-12 overall.

Gibsonburg defeated Elmwood, 48-19. Leaders for Elmwood were: Jayden Edwards and Trevor Robbins.
Bowling Green Christian Academy beat Apostolic Christian Academy, 44-28. Leaders for BG, 14-9, were:
Gavin Winter, 23 points; and Steven Speck, 10 points.

Perrysburg beat Timberstone, 34-14, to improved to 11-1 overall and 6-0 in the Northern Lakes League.
Taylin Hunter led Perrysburg with eight points.

Bowling Green beat Anthony Wayne, 29-23. Leaders for BG were: Kaleigh Strausbaugh, 13 points; Livvy Dill,
seven points; and Hailey Maas, five points.
