Perrysburg plans ticket presale
PERRYSBURG – Tickets will be on sale Wednesday and Thursday at Perrysburg High School from 10 a.m.-1:45
p.m. for the Division I district semifinal game with Findlay.
The game is Thursday starting at 7 p.m. at Liberty-Benton High School.
Advance tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students.
Stroh receives national award
Kermit Stroh, who along with his late wife Mary Lu, donated $7.7 million towards the construction of a
new athletics arena at Bowling Green has been recognized for his efforts.
With the Stroh Center set to open this fall, Stroh has been selected as the national donor of the year
for the University Division for The National Association of Athletic Development Directors.
"I’m speechless," Stroh said. "I’m flattered and humbled by a university that has always
treated me and my family so warmly. I accept this award on behalf of all the Falcon fans and wonderful
people from Bowling Green. I want to thank (BGSU President) Carol Cartwright for allowing me to be a
part of the university and to (BGSU athletics director) Greg Christopher and the great people on his
staff who have been so wonderful to me."
As a passionate advocate for Falcon athletics and academic programs for nearly 50 years, Stroh has been a
faithful supporter of college athletics, giving generously to the Sebo Athletic Center, Doyt Perry
Stadium enhancement project, Ice Arena renovations, and the Coaches’ Fund for Excellence. He remains
consistently involved in The President’s Club and Falcon Club, annually maintaining his premium seating
at BGSU events.
Falcon women back in AP poll
Bowling Green’s women’s basketball team received three points in the latest Associated Press national
poll.
The Falcons are 40th out of 41 teams to receive votes

BG sets time for spring game
The spring game for Bowling Green State University football is April 15 at 7 p.m. in Doyt Perry Stadium.
Admission is free to all fans.
Spring practice starts march 17 at 9 a.m. All spring practices are open to the public free of charge.
BG softball records win
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green’s softball team scored three runs in the top of the 10th inning en
route to a 6-3, 10-inning victory over Western Kentucky on Monday. The Falcons are 2-9 overall.
Leadoff hitter Hannah Fulk went 4-for-5 with three runs scored to lead BG. Ericka Stratton finished
1-for-5 with a double and three runs batted in, and Paige Berger went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run.

Zada Lines pitched 5 2/3 innings of relief for the win, allowing two earned runs on four hits with eight
strikeouts.
BG baseball wins
WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Bowling Green’s baseball team rallied for a 6-5 win over Lehigh in the RossMatt
Tournament Monday. The Falcons are now 2-7.
Jon Berti led the Falcons going 4-for-5 with a run and an RBI. Matt Pitzulo, Jeremy Shay and Patrick
Martin each added two hits for Bowling Green.
The Falcons have an off day today.
Owens softball opens with two wins
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — The Owens Community College softball team opened its season with two wins on Monday.

The Express defeated Olney Central College, 5-2; and Beaver County, 10-1 in five innings..
Leading hitters against Olney for the Express were: Kristen Roznoski, 3-for-4, two runs scored; Alaina
Haubert, 3-for-4; Matea Rice, 2-for-2; and Courtney Mowery, 2-for-3, RBI. Jordan Ratliff went all seven
inning, allowing eight hits with six strikeouts to pick up the win for Owens.
Rice led the Express at the plate against Beaver County, going 2-for-3 with an RBI. Elizabeth Weber went
all five innings, striking out 10 for Owens.
Owens baseball wins twice
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Owens’ baseball team recorded two wins on Monday, sweeping a doubleheader with
Burlington County College. The Express (3-0) won Game 1, 9-5; and Game 2, 6-2.
Leading hitters in Game 1 for Owens were: Ryan Hotmer, 2-for-3; and Andrew Poland, 2-for-3. Hotmer is a
Lake High School graduate. Jordan Basinger picked up the win, allowing five hits and one earned run in 5
1/3 innings.
Travis Tackett went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run to lead Owens in Game 2. Kacy Dwornik picked up the
win, allowing one hit and no runs in four innings pitched.
Rudolph sets final signup
The final signup for the Rudolph youth sports league is Saturday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Liberty
Township Civic Center.
There are leagues available for boys and girls ages 5-15.
Developmental soccer league planned
Registration is now open for the Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Developmental League Soccer.
The developmental league will be managed by the Bowling Green Soccer Club.
The program consist of seven weeks of practice and games including a season-ending tournament. It is for
ages 3-14
Practices begin April 11 and games begin April 23
All practices and games will be played at the Dunbridge Soccer Fields.
The new coaches required certification class will be on April 12th at 6 p.m. at the Bowling Green
Community Center
The participant cost is $45 if registered by April 4 and $50 after the registration deadline. All
participants will receive a T-shirt.
