Tour some historic homes in Maumee

MAUMEE – The Maumee Historic Home Tour sponsored by the Maumee Senior Center has announced the 2009 tour
home selection.
The homes capture the architectural design mindset of early last century. Tour hours for the Oct. 10
event are noon until 5 p.m.. The Glass City Opera will provide strolling entertainment through the tour
area.
This is the 13th year of the annual event.
Featured homes include:
¥ 122 River Road (ca. 1916) Dussel-Pratt Home
¥ 312 River Road (ca. 1895) Pilliod-Braun Residence
¥ 320 River Road (ca. 1887) Ottwell-Bissell-Foster Home
¥ 408 Jackson St. ca. 1850) Steinman-Yoder
¥ 504 River Road (ca.1907) Shephurst-Williams
¥ 527 E. Williams St. (ca. 1927) Broer – King Home
Also on the tour is the Commercial Building, 301 River Road (ca. 1836). It is the oldest continuous use
commercial building in Maumee.
Tickets to the event are available from the Maumee Chamber Office, Maumee Senior Center, Jacky’s Depot,
CJ’s Closet, Dibling’s Floor Covering and The Andersons General Store in Maumee. Ticket prices are $10
in advance and $12 on event day.
The Andersons and Generations Financial Group are major sponsors of the event.
