2 in court for alleged rapes
Two men are being charged with rape for separate incidents in Pemberville.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office arrested Steven L. Ziegler, 38, Pemberville, in connection with a sexual
offense that was reported to have occurred on Aug. 13 at a Cherry Street residence.
Ryan Kutnyak, 22, of Maumee, was charged for a rape reported to have occurred on Aug. 2 at Scotch Ridge
Road home.
According to the sheriff’s office, both men were known to the alleged victims.
Ziegler paid a bond of $50,000 and was released from the Wood County Justice Center Friday.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled at Bowling Green Municipal Court for Ziegler at 1 p.m. today. Kutnyak
has been issued a summons to appear at 1 p.m. on Aug. 26.
Cub Scouts hold info meeting
Kenwood Cub Scout Pack 358 is inviting boys in grades one through five to join the Cub Scouts.
There is a meeting at Kenwood Elementary in the gym at 7 p.m. on Thursday for anyone wanting to join or
get more information. Boys do not need to attend Kenwood to join the pack.
Next year is the 100th anniversary for the Boy Scouts of America and there are many fun events planned
for 2010.

Take walking tour of Perrysburg
PERRYSBURG – A walking tour of Perrysburg’s Historic District will be Friday evening, weather permitting.

Anyone interested in joining the tour should meet at 7 p.m. at the Commodore Perry Monument on Front
Street. The guided tour is free and open to the public.
Perrysburg’s Historic District consists of homes and commercial buildings constructed in the city’s early
years. The district has an outstanding collection of Victorian Era buildings featuring nearly every
major domestic architectural style popular from 1820 to the 1930s.
