BGSU Trustees will meet Thurs. at conclusion of two-day retreat

Bowling Green State University Trustees have announced they will hold a formal meeting Thursday at the
conclusion of their two-day retreat at Atwood Lake Resort and Conference Center in eastern Ohio.
Trustees plan to begin their retreat Wednesday with a 6 p.m. dinner and resume Thursday at 7:30 a.m. with
breakfast.
The formal meeting will be held at 1:15 p.m.
Four agenda items have been announced:
¥ Approval of the residence hall and dining master plan. Trustees got a preview of the plan at their late
June meeting, but were told the plan would not be finished until late summer.
¥ Issuance of $85 million in general receipt bonds that will finance the Stroh Center project, along with
refinancing infrastructure projects, energy efficiency projects and other smaller projects that have
been completed or are in the process of being completed.
¥ Adoption of a policy on employee furloughs, should such action be needed while the university and state
weather the budget problems.
¥ Approval of the hiring of Dr. Ken Borland as provost.
