Walbridge man sentenced to eight years for possession, trafficking in marijuana

Michael Fincher, 26, of Walbridge, received a mandatory sentence of eight years in prison and a mandatory
fine of $7,500 after pleading guilty to possession of marijuana on July 28 before Wood County Common
Pleas Court Judge Alan R. Mayberry on July 28.
Fincher also pleaded guilty to a charge of complicity to trafficking in marijuana, and received one year
in prison on that charge. It is to be served concurrently with the 8-year sentence.
A confiscated 1997 Dodge mini-van was ordered forfeited for sale, use or destruction by the sheriff’s
office. His driver’s license was also suspended for one year.
As part of a plea agreement, charges of trafficking in drugs and engaging in a pattern of corrupt
activity were dismissed.
Tomel Lamb, 37, appeared before Mayberry on July 10 for a community control violation of burglary charge.
His own recognizance bond was rescinded for failing to submit to random drug screens. The defendant also
failed to appear for sentencing on May 15. Mayberry sentenced Lamb to 17 months and restitution of
nearly $11,000
The judge has also issued numerous other individuals to prison sentences over the last few weeks:
¥ Ryan Scheerer, 35, July 10, three counts of retaliation, four years each, to be served concurrently;
and in a separate menacing by stalking charge, 18 months, also served concurrently
¥ Jermaine Morehead, 38, Aug. 7, trafficking in cocaine, four years, forfeiture of $388 in cash to the
Bowling Green Police’s drug fund, mandatory fine of $5,000; and 12 months on a second count to be served
concurrently
¥ Robert Torres, 47, July 10, driving under the influence, 30 months, a mandatory $5,000 fine and
mandatory forfeiture of the vehicle, a 1994 Ford Explorer, to the Ohio Highway Patrol. His driver’s
license was also suspended for 10 years, the first three without driving privileges and then restricted
to a vehicle with an ignition interlock system
¥ Ralph Hannafius, 35, Aug. 7, community control violation of theft charge, 17 months and continued
payment of more than $21,100 in restitution
¥ Jamie Garcia, 23, July 24, community control violation of domestic violence charge, 15 months
¥ Anthony Mayo, 39, Aug. 7, community control violation of burglary and disrupting public services, 15
months, each served concurrently
¥ Troy Nyler, 40, July 24, community control violation of domestic violence charge, 12 months
¥ Jeffrey Hatcher, 33, June 26, community control violation of possession of drugs, 12 months
¥ Dawn Gentile, 47, July 24, community control violation of forgery and receiving stolen property
charges, 11 months
¥ Bennette Holmes, now age 25, July 24, community control violation of obstructing justice charge, 11
months
¥
Steven Gilmer, 51, July 17, possession of drugs, six months
¥ Michael Slowinski, 42, July 31, theft, six months
