Cloverbud Camp deadline extended
The Wood County Extension 4-H office has extended the deadline for registration for the Cloverbud Camp
until Friday.
The camp will be held July 24 at the office on Dunbridge Road. Cost is $15. In addition to the current
4-H Cloverbuds, campers may bring non-4-H friends who are of Cloverbud age, namely those age 5-8.
The camp will include games and crafts. Lunch and snacks will be provided and each camper will receive a
T-shirt.

Growers can earn fuel
CUSTAR – Area growers are invited to a attend an event regarding local crop development and technology
performance by Agrisolutions crop protections products and Croplan Genetics seed. on Aug. 20-21 and 24
at the Dan Gahler farm in Custar. Those attending will be entered into a drawing for free gasoline or
diesel.
It is called an Answer Plot Knowledge event and is designed to give growers a "firsthand look at how
crops are performing under local conditions."

Serenity Farm hosts
psychotherapy education
LUCKEY – Serenity Farm, 21870 Lemoyne Road, Luckey, will host an EAGALA Ohio State networking meeting on
Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This is an opportunity which is open to all community members that are certified in Equine Assisted
Psychotherapy and provides four hours of continued education credits.
There is no charge for the training session, but advance registration is requested to (419) 833-1308.

Fallat retires at Andersons
MAUMEE – Daniel T. Anderson has been named as president, retail group and vice president of corporate
operations services of The Andersons, Inc. He also will retain his current position as president of
retail group.
The new position was created, in part, due to the retirement of Dale W. Fallat, vice president of
corporate services who is ending his 42-year tenure with the company.
In a related move, Tamara S. Sparks has assumed an expanded role as vice president of corporate relations
and business analysis, adding corporate communications, community involvement and enterprise risk
management to her duties.
Ohio gourd show set
The 47th Annual Ohio Gourd Show will be held Sept. 25-27, at the Darke County Fairgrounds in Greenville.

Show books are now available, which list competitive classes for current season gourds, dry gourds, and
gourd crafts. There are also classes for junior exhibitors, those age 14 and under; as well as youth,
age 15-20.
