BGHS PTO meets Monday
The Bowling Green High School PTO will hold its first meeting of the year on Monday at 7 p.m. in the high
school library.
The topic for this meeting is Text Messaging, Technology and Your Teenager. The speakers will be Beth
Krolak, Bowling Green City Schools technology director, and Officer Scot Becker from the Bowling Green
Police Division.
Montessori School of BG holds open house Sunday
The Montessori School of Bowling Green will host an open house on Sunday from noon to 2 p.m.
The school, at 630 S. Maple St., has educated students since 1980 and has students from preschool through
the sixth grade. The environment emphasizes the use of natural curiosity to develop a lifetime love of
learning.
Haskin PTO pizza fundraiser
The Haskins Elementary PTO will hold a fundraiser on Wednesday at Pisanello’s Pizza in Waterville.
Mention the order is with Haskins PTO so the organization can get credit.
Carry-out or delivery is available at 57 Third St. and (419) 878-7020.
Terra has record enrollment
Terra Community College, Fremont, has a record number of students on campus this fall.
There are 18.8 percent more students attending classes this fall than last year and 26.4 percent more
full-time equivalency as compared to 2008.
Headcount this fall is 3,148 compared to 2,650 in 2008. FTE is 990.3, verus 783.4 in 2008.
