Mass on the grass returns
St. Thomas More University Parish will again hold its annual Mass on the Grass on Sunday at 5 p.m. on the
Bowling Green State University campus lawn, between the Administration Building and University Hall.
The public is invited to attend and all parishioners are encouraged to attend that Mass.
Following the Mass there will be free dinner, games and time to socialize. There will be no 5 p.m. Mass
on Sunday at the church.
Monthly healing service planned
PERRYSBURG – Vineyard Church of Toledo, 210 E. South Boundary, Perrysburg, will hold its monthly
"Worship and Healing Night" on Sept. 20 at 7 p.m.
Area churches in the Toledo area will join together for a time of extended worship followed by a prayer
for the sick and ministry for those who are looking for a touch from God.
The public is invited.
Drive-thru dinner at church
STONY RIDGE – St. John’s Lutheran Church, 5520 Fremont Pike, Stony Ridge, will hold a chicken and rib
drive-thru barbecue dinner on Sept. 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Proceeds from the dinner will be used to
benefit the St. John’s Hilltop Pre-school.
Tickets may be purchased in advance from the church office.
Cost is $8 for a chicken dinner and $11 for a rib dinner.
Ice cream social set
STONY RIDGE – The annual ice cream social for St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5520 Fremont Pike,
will be held Sunday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The public is invited.
Soup and salad lunch offered
The congregation of Hope Lutheran Church, 13507 Cloverdale Road, will host a soup and salad luncheon in
the fellowship hall Sunday from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations will benefit the Lutheran Association for
Missionary Pilots and Martha’s Kitchen. The menu includes bean and chicken noodle soups, hot ham and
chicken sandwiches, along with a variety of salads and desserts.
