Medema at St. Mark’s

Ken Medema will be at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Bowling Green, on Sunday at the 8:30 and 11 a.m.
traditional services to do an improvisation of the sermon and an additional piece. Medema will also be
hold a family "mini concert" between the services at 10 a.m.
Medema is a legally-blind musician, composer and performer and has ministered to the church for more than
30 years. He studied music therapy at Michigan State University in Lansing.
While employed there he began writing and performing his own songs.
Currently, Medema performs in a wide variety of venues from local congregations to charity fund raisers
and other church and youth gatherings to globally televised religious programs, to annual assemblies of
national organizations, and he does this without the use of his physical eyes, being able only to
distinguish some shapes and differing degrees of light and darkness.
