Prep Roundup: Lake boys soccer blanks Wauseon

Lake’s boys soccer team had five different goal-scorers in its 9-0 non-league win at Wauseon Monday. The
Flyers are 6-2-3 overall.
Drew Metz scored three goals and had three assists, and Bryant Philo had two goals and three assists.
Other leaders for Lake were: Nick Byrd, two goals; Keegan Lucas and Tim Metz, one goal each; and Johnny
Eckenrode, Kyle Timbrook and Jay Staples, one assist each.
Scott Hartman made six saves.

Perrysburg 3, Findlay 1
At Findlay, Perrysburg improved to 8-3 with the non-league victory.
Emily Linthicum, Kirsten Goins and Samantha O’Connor scored goals for the Yellow Jackets, while Goins and
Linthicum each added an assists. Kelsey Draper made two saves.

At Genoa, Rossford was blanked in the non-league match.

At Ottawa Hills, Northwood won the Toledo Area Athletic Conference match, 25-7, 25-16, 25-11. The Rangers
are 9-4 overall and 4-2 in the TAAC.

Elmwood, Rossford
compete
In Fostoria, Rossford was fifth and Elmwood sixth in the seven-team Fostoria Invitational Saturday. Clyde
was first at 311. Rossford, Elmwood and McComb all tied at 342 with the placing being decided on the
fifth-man score. Elmwood’s Kyle Smithey was the medalist with a 72.
Rossford’s scores were: Tony Ott, 78; Josh Perry, 80; Ryan Businger and Travis Jones, 92 each; and Bryan
Schaller, 97.
Other Elmwood’s scores were: Cody King, 86; Dylan Torrey, 91; Josh Schnipke, 93; and Zach Steinman, 98.
