Covenant Church.
"Held Hostage by Bitterness," beginning a new series, will be the message Sunday at Brookside
Church.
Rev. Mack Armstrong’s sermon Sunday for the annual "Service in the Park" for Cloverdale United
Methodist Church will be "Powerful Potentate Purges Protracted Pride." The service will be
held at Carter Park.
"Why we Have Sunday School," will be Pastor Brian Snyder’s message Sunday morning at First
Baptist Church. There will be no 5 p.m. service; however there will be the annual Sunday School picnic
at City Park.
Rev. Brent Pomeroy’s sermon Sunday at First Christian Church will be "Take a Look Inside." To
celebrate "Homecoming Sunday" there will be a barbecue and potluck following the service with
face painting and games.
Pastor Gary Saunders’ sermon Sunday at First Presbyterian Church will be "Out in the Open."
Pastor Tom Mellott’s sermon for Christian Education Sunday at First United Methodist Church will be
"Did you get the Word?" First grade students will be presented with Bibles.
The sermon Sunday by Curtis Miller, pastor, at Grace Brethren Church will be "The Politics of the
Kingdom of God."
The speaker on Sunday at Maumee Valley Unitarian Universalist Congregation will be Coach Doug Merrill,
author of the book Fighting the Demon of Suicide. He will speak about his program topromote positive
physical and mentalhealth to communities.
