The result was a convincing 80-51 victory for the Falcons, 3-2 overall.
The Falcons were 11-of-23 on 3-pointers (47.8 percent) and 28-of-52 overall from the field (53.8
percent). All 15 players dressed for the game played for BG with 11 breaking into the scoring column.

“We can get better (offensively), be a better executing team and cut down our turnovers,” BG head coach
Curt Miller said. “To our kids credit as the offense is getting better and better, we are shooting the
ball tremendously (well) from the 3-point line. And that really bails us out of a lot of problems.
“I’m excited that we got to play every one on our roster,” Miller added.
The Falcons also played good defense, holding Greensboro to 19-of-60 (31.7 percent) from the field.
“That was our biggest key coming into the game. Our field-goal percentage defense has been something we
have been talking about because we have been letting teams shoot in the 50 percent (range). That’s
something that we really focused on tonight,” BG’s Lauren Prochaska said.
BG put together a 14-3 run to take a 24-11 lead with 10:29 left in the first half. Greensboro cut BG’s
lead to 24-18 with 7:58 remaining. The Falcons then closed the half on a 13-8 run, which included a
Greensboro 3-pointer at the buzzer, to take a 37-26 lead at the break.
The Spartans cut the Falcons lead to 46-36 with 15:07 left in the game. However, in the next 10 minutes,
BG made a 26-7 run to take away any doubt. The Falcons made five 3-pointers in the run with Tamika Nurse
and freshman Allison Papenfuss each scoring six points.
Prochaska, who had been slowed early in the season due to illness, is getting closer to 100 percent. She
played 25 minutes Friday and scored a game-high 20 points.
“I’m feeling a lot better now. I’m pretty much back to normal,” Prochaska said. “It feels good to finally
have my energy back and being able to play some more minutes.
“It was frustrating not getting better and feeling tired all the time,” she continued. “Trying to push
through it and not being able to. That’s something I haven’t experienced before.”
Prochaska was 7-of-11 from the field, including 4-of-7 on 3-pointers, and 2-of-2 from the free-throw
line. She also had a team-high five rebounds.
“What I really liked was the aggressiveness Lauren had out of the gate and was really hunting shots and
looking for offense,” Miller said. “I feel real comfortable when we can get Lauren going early, that
it’s going to be a good night for her.”
The Falcons did out-rebound Greensboro, 38-33, but the Spartans got 18 offensive rebounds.
“Rebounding has always been a struggle for us,” Prochaska said. “We hear about it every day in practice,
halftime, before games, after games.
“We just need to get tougher and box out,” Prochaska added.
