Beachfront Property at Owens
The vocal quartet Beachfront Property will present "Jukebox Gold" in the Mainstage Theatre in
Owens Community College’s Center for Fine and Performing Arts Area today at 8 p.m.
Beachfront Property was by created by Tom Dustman, artistic director and professor of music at Long Beach
City College, in 1979 to write and record jingles for radio and television. In 1990, the group expanded
to live concerts and began touring.

Indie film festival to debut
TOLEDO – Black Swamp International Film Festival will be presented today through Sunday in Valentine
Theatre.
The Film Festival begins on today with a Gala Premier Black tie event to benefit the Toledo Hospital
Foundation.
Films selected from more than 200 submitted by filmmakers from around the world will be shown throughout
the weekend. The films include dramatic, documentary, and experimental movies, both short and long, A
special exhibition category for high school films will also be included at the Toledo Lucas Country
Public Library on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Tickets are $6 for each block of films.
Also two seminars will be presented on Saturday.
At 2:30 p.m. David Kirchner, film edited who has worked with a number of notable filmmakers, will speak
during "The Digital Revolution and its Effect on Making and Distributing Films: A Post Production
Perspective."
At 5 p.m. a panel discussion "Made in the Midwest: How to make a movie in Northwest Ohio" with
moderator Greg Walton, SpotOn Productions and panel members Cap Averill, Mantis and Moon Productions,
Tom Hofbauer, Behind The Lines Productions, Rich Iott, Braeburn Entertainment Ltd., and Cole Simon,
Glass City Films LLC
Technical Demonstrations by freelance cinematographer Jeff Barkleage will be presented from 1 to 5 p.m.
