Miami ends BG’s volleyball season
TOLEDO — Miami defeated Bowling Green, 25-22, 25-23, 25-20 ending the Falcons’ season in the
quarterfinals of the Mid-American Conference tournament. BG finishes 13-20.
BG’s leaders were: Corey Domek, 14 kills, two aces; Allison Kearney, 31 assists; and Alex Zlabis, 20
digs.
Falcon softball adds three
The Bowling Green State University softball team has added three players, head coach Shannon Salsburg
announced Friday. Erin Greenwalt from Glen Carbon, Ill., Katie Yoho from Grove City, and Erika Stratton
from Las Vegas, Nev., will be playing for the Falcons in 2011.
Greenwalt is currently attending Edwardsville High School and is pitching for the Midland Magic.
In 2007, Greenwalt led her team to a third place finish at the Illinois State Tournament, as well as a
second place finish in 2009.
Yoho will be joining the Falcon as an infielder. She is currently attending Grove City High School and
playing for the Valley Extreme Blue. Yoho boasts a .400 career batting average as well as a .976
slugging percentage.
Stratton currently attends Palo Verde High School and plays for the Las Vegas Rage Gold. She will join
the Falcons as a catcher and infielder. Stratton helped her team finish fifth at the ASA Nationals and
posted a .400 career hitting average in high school.
