Stadium sounds come indoors
Bowling Green State University’s Falcon Marching Band will present "Life Is a Highway," its
annual "Sounds of the Stadium" concert, Sunday at 3 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical
Arts Center.
Led by Dr. Carol Hayward, an assistant professor of music education, and Dr. Bruce Moss, director of band
activities, the band will perform music from its halftime shows at this season’s Falcon football games.

Among the selections will be songs from Chicago, such as "25 or 6 to 4" and "Hard to Say
I’m Sorry," Michael Jackson’s "Thriller," Metallica’s "Enter Sandman" and
Stevie Wonder’s "Superstition," among other well-known titles from metal bands, Motown artists
and one-hit wonders.
One of the largest student organizations on campus, with 220 members, the band is composed of students
from all colleges of the university and is open to all students by audition regardless of major and
class standing.
Tickets are $10 and $7 for students and senior citizens in advance, and $13 and $10, on the day of the

Art shows open in Perrysburg
PERRYSBURG – The Perrysburg Area Arts Council is sponsoring to exhibits, one featured ward-winning
children’s book illustrator Dominic Catalano and another featuring the artwork of the council’s board
members, staff and supporters.
Catalano’s exhibit of illustrations will be held in Way Library and continue through November. A resident
of Perrysburg, he teaches in the Bowling Green State University’s School of Art.
"PAAC: Our Creative Side" is on display at the Perrysburg Municipal Building, 201 W. Indiana
Ave., and Perrysburg Municipal Court, 300 Walnut St. Contributors to the show include Valerie French,
Diana Hersch, Larry Jarvis, Nancy Rodgers, Janet Smith and Jennifer Solon. It continues through December
Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

‘Anne’ in G.R. tickets on sale
GRAND RAPIDS – Tickets are now on sale for the Grand Rapids Arts Council’s production of "Anne of
Avonlea" at the second floor theater in the Town Hall on Nov. 20 and 21 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 22 at
2:30 p.m.
Tickets at the door are $8 for adults, seniors and students and $4 for children 12 and under. Advance
tickets are $7 for adults, seniors and students and $3 for children 12 and under and may be purchased at
the Village Apothacary in Grand Rapids , the Huntington Bank in Grand Rapids branch or by calling (419)
832-2787 or from any cast member.
BGSU ensembles on TV
Quatour Du Jour and Eastern Trio, both ensembles from Bowling Green State University’s College of Musical
Arts, will perform on "Ovation @ BGSU" on WBGU-PBS tonight at 8:30 p.m.
Quatuor Du Jour is a saxophone quartet comprised of: Brad Green, Zach Hinson, Andrew Park and Drew Sevel.

Eastern Trio features Jiung Yoon, piano, Ioana Galu, violin, and Spencer Prewitt, clarinet.
The program will be rebroadcast on WBGU-DT1 Monday at noon.
